There are two things in life which we are never truly prepared for: twins. – Josh Billings
Happy Third Birthday Max and Emma!
Within ten minutes on August 6, 2011, my life changed in the most inexplicable way. My second son was born. My daughter was born ten minutes later. I cannot explain the feeling of giving life to two people in such a short amount of time. I felt invincible! I was tired and it was terrifying yet it was completely empowering.
We were not prepared for twins. We had experienced raising one child to two years old. We knew it would be difficult. We weren’t prepared for HOW difficult it would be.
There’s two to wash, two to dry;
There’s two who argue, two who cry….
There’s two to kiss, two to hug;
And best of all, there’s two to love!
Dear Max and Emma:
Happy 3rd Birthday! The only thing the same about the two of you is that you share a birthday! You are independently wonderful, you have your own strengths, likes, dislikes, interests and mannerisms. I could not imagine life without either one of you. You have made us a complete family of five.
Max – you are sensitive, funny, have a growing sense of humour, caring and emotional.
Emma – you are loving, adventurous, curious, tell great stories, a great independent player and energetic.
We love you!
Mom, Dad and Isaac
