Handmade Homemade Christmas

Andrew and I decided to make our kids their “main” holiday gift this year.  It is a kid-sized table and chair set complete with four chairs.  It was ambitious considering the construction, painting and staining had to be completed post-bedtime hours.  I had a small hand in the construction of our kids’ Christmas gift but I give all credit to my husband.  He made it his mission to complete the project on-time regardless of how much he really just wanted to “flop” after a long day of work then our usual dinner and night routine with the kids.

We are very pleased how it turned out.  They have used it several times throughout our Christmas vacation.

It is exciting to make furniture for your home. I can’t wait to start the next project!

We used leftover stain from our coffee table project (Minwax Jacobean stain) as well as leftover trim paint (Para Paints – Snowfall).

Thanks for stopping by!
