Starting is the hardest part…the second hardest part is finishing…

We have completely dis{mantle}d our fireplace.  It is in a billion pieces of brick and dust.  It is a huge improvement already.  We have also scraped the ceiling to remove all the swirls.  The fireplace surface has also been refaced ——SCREECH—–

The project has come to a huge halt.  Why?

1. Who has time for anything other than the basics of everyday life?

2. We celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary last weekend and went AWAY! It was worth the home improvement hiatus.  Happy Anniversary Andrew!

3.  We are nervous about the next parts of our project where we are feeling a little uncertain about our skills!

We were hoping for a fast renovation but now we are just hoping it is finished by CHRISTMAS!  It is amazing how you forget what living through a renovation is like…the dust…the kids in the dust…I would love to write more but I have to go sweep for the third time today!
